Pulling a chapter or section out of a big file
Extraction is the clean way to share one part of a long document without sending the whole thing. Say a hundred-page manual has a ten-page installation section a colleague needs; list those pages and export a compact standalone PDF. Because you name exactly what to keep, there is no risk of a stray internal page tagging along the way it might if you were deleting everything else. For sections that recur as chapters with bookmarks, the split-by-bookmarks tool can name each part automatically, but for a one-off pull, extract by page range is the most direct route.
