Trimming a document down to what matters
Deleting pages is the fastest way to cut a report down to the parts a reader actually needs: drop the cover sheets, the blank backs, the internal-only appendix, or the advertising inserts in a downloaded manual. When the pages to remove are scattered, typing a combined range such as 1, 5, 12-14 is quicker than clicking each thumbnail. If, on the other hand, you want to keep only a small slice of a long document, the extract-pages tool is the better fit, since selecting three pages to keep beats deleting ninety. Match the tool to whichever list is shorter.
